STS. PETER AND PAUL CHURCH
HOSTS DEANERY MEETING


Atlanta, GA - His Grace Bishop Dr.MITROPHAN, Diocesan Bishop, travelled to Saints Peter and Paul Serbian Orthodox Church in Atlanta, Georgia on April 12, 2006, the day of Holy Confession for priests of the St.Petersburg Deanery. His Grace celebrated the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy of Presanctified Gifts on April 12, 2006 and and met afterwards with clergy of the Deanery.

The St.Petersburg Deanery consists of the parish in Atlanta, the North Carolina parishes in Greensboro and Charlotte and the Florida parishes in St.Petersburg, Orlando, Jacksonville, and North Miami.

Priests of the Deanery include Dean Protopresbyter Stephen Zaremba, Protopresbyter Svetozar Veselinovich, Reverend Father Dragan Zarich, Reverend Father Ljubisa Brnjos, Reverend Father Sasha Turkic and Reverend Father Stanislav Kravljaca.

Protopresbyters Zaremba and Torbic served with His Grace with Protopresbyter Veselinovich, Fathers Zaric, Brnjos, Turkic and Kravljaca singing the responses during the Liturgy.
Protopresbyter Torbic was the confessor.

The St.Petersburg Deanery is one of four Deaneries of the Diocese located in the United States. A fifth Deanery is located in South America.

Host priest Father Sasha Turkic and the parishioners of Saints Peter and Paul Church in Atlanta were very hospitable and attentive. A well-prepared lenten dinner was served.

His Grace Bishop Dr.MITROPHAN emphasized the importance of baptizing young Serbian children that they may grow from infancy in the Holy Serbian Orthodox Church

Father Turkic gave a sermon at the conclusion of the Liturgy and felt the parish was honored as being the host.
