On Christmas Eve, January 6^th, 2022, His Grace Bishop Irinej visited the parish of St. Nicholas in Monroeville, PA to preside over the badnjak service in the evening. In this way, St. Nicholas parish in Monroeville started celebrating Christmas with the hierarch and the father of the diocese joyfully exclaiming: Christ is born! In the presence of many faithful, Bishop Irinej reminded us all that Christmas is not just the celebration of Christ’s birth at some point in time and history but also the opportunity to allow Christ to be born in us. The celebration continued with a parish family meal following the burning of the badnjak tree.
