PALM SUNDAY LENTEN VESPERS
AT ST. GEORGE IN HERMITAGE

Hermitage, PA – The Lenten Vespers, served each Sunday evening during the Great Fast, came to an official close last night, the Sunday evening of Palm Sunday. His Grace Bishop of Eastern America, Dr. +Mitrophan joined the clergy of the Cleveland Deanery for the service at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Hermitage, PA. A total of thirteen priests and two deacons took part in the Vespers service which included, besides the Deanery clergy, priests from the neighboring New Gracanica Diocese as well as the local Pan Orthodox clergy.

The evening’s homilist, Rev. Dragomir Tuba of St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church in Akron, Ohio, spoke of the feast of our Lord’s Triumphant Entry into Jerusalem and of the events the church will be commemorating on the days of Passion Week, which are before us.

During the Lenten meal which followed the service a collection was made benefiting the St. Sava School of Theology in Libertyville, Illinois.
