AKRON HOSTS DEANERY VESPERS
Akron, OH - The St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church in Akron, Ohio hosted the Lenten Vespers for the Cleveland Deanery on the second Sunday of Lent, the Sunday of St. Gregory Palamas.
Nine priests served at the Vespers. The clergy from the Cleveland Deanery were joined by priests: V. Rev. Peter Burlakov and Fr. Ilia Marzev of St. Sergius Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russian. Also in attendance was V. Rev. Stavrofor Vasilije Sokolovic.
Three deacons took part in the evening Vespers. Rev. Milovan Katanic of St. George Serbian Church in Hermitage, PA was the homilist. Following the service a lenten meal was served in the church hall.
