BISHOP MITROPHAN VISITS ERIE MISSION
Shadeland, PA – His Grace Bishop of Eastern America Dr. +Mitrophan visited the mission parish of Erie and officiated at the Holy Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on the feast of St. Nicholai of Zicha and Ohrid, Saturday, March 18, 2006.
Assisting His Grace were V. Rev. Rastko Trbuhovich, V. Rev. Rodney Torbic, Rev. Milovan Katanic, Fr. Deacon Milan Medakovic and Diocesan Secretary Fr. Deacon Dragoslav Kosic. Parishioners from the Hermitage and Lackawanna parishes attended the liturgy. Following the service a lenten luncheon was served.
This small mission parish, dedicated to St. Nicholai of Zicha, was established in September 2004. They meet on a regular monthly basis for services. Liturgies are served one Saturday a month while a Readers Service is served monthly on Sundays. Although His Grace has visited the mission in the past this was the first time he celebrated the Divine Liturgy to the great joy of the parishioners.
