Most beloved clergy, monastics and faithful,
My dear spiritual children!
"Give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."
(I Thessalonians 5:18)
Thanksgiving Day, much like our Serbian Slava, is a time to gather with family and friends and offer thanks to God for His many blessings.
When we gather to celebrate this Thanksgiving, let us, therefore, take a moment to reflect on the countless blessings that God has graciously bestowed upon all of us.
May we truly be filled with gratitude for our families, friends, and the love that surrounds us. Let us not only express our thanks through words but also through acts of kindness and generosity, sharing God’s love with those around us.
May our hearts be joyful, and our spirits uplifted as we recognize the goodness of our Lord Jesus Christ.
May yours be a blessed and joyful Thanksgiving!
Given in New York at Thanksgiving, 2024.
