4th Archon International Conference on Religious Freedom

May 26-28, 2024 - The Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate sponsored the 4th Archon International Conference on Religious Freedom in Athens, Greece. The theme of the Conference was: “Protecting Religious Freedom, Democracy & Human Rights.” Following the. Cnference was the 1st Global Summit of Archons on May 29, 2024.

On Sunday, May 26, 2024, Archons and guests from around the world attended Matins and Divine Liturgy celebrated by His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America at the historic Annunciation Metropolitan Cathedral, the cathedral church of the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece. Among the guest hierarchs was His Grace Bishop Irinej of Eastern America of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

Following the Divine Liturgy, a 50-year anniversary Memorial Service commemorating the victims of the tragic invasion of Cyprus and all other martyrs who have lost their lives because of religious persecution.
