With the Blessings of His Grace Bishop Irinej of Eastern America, the renown “Dushan Vukasinovic – Diogen” Cultural and Artistic Society of Surcin, Serbia, visited the Eastern American Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church. This remarkable, multifaceted and highly talented group of young singers, dancers and musicians delighted their audiences everywhere they performed in the Eastern American Diocese.   

Bishop Irinej was personally in attendance at their sublime concert and exhilarating performance in Greater Washington, DC, on October 20, 2023, at the Sts. Peter and Paul Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church in Potomac, MD. Also in attendance, together with many members of his flock, and offering introductory remarks was Protopresbyter Vasilije Vranic, Parish Priest of the St. Luke Serbian Orthodox Church in Potomac, MD.

His Grace was invited by the dancers to join them following the program. He then concluded the program with his uplifting archpastoral comments, speaking of “the intricate weaving of a magnificent tapestry before our eyes, with the golden threads of their fine, choreographed steps”, and bestowed his paternal blessings on all.
