July 13, 2023, marks the Sixtieth Anniversary of the Episcopal Consecration of the Right Reverend +Stefan (Lastavica), first Bishop of Eastern America and Canada of the Serbian Orthodox Church, which took place on the Synaxis of the Holy Apostles, July 13, 1963, in the St. Elijah Church in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania.

His Grace Bishop Irinej of Eastern America has, therefore, ordained that on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the conclusion of the Holy and Divine Liturgy, in all churches, chapels and monasteries throughout our God-protected Diocese of Eastern America, а Memorial Service – Pomen is to be celebrated for the ever-memorable Bishop Stefan (Lastavica) of Eastern America and Canada, on the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of his historic consecration as the first bishop of the then newly incepted Diocese of Eastern America and Canada, i.e., come today's Diocese of Eastern America.
