On Friday, March 31, 2023, at the parish of Saint George in Elizabeth, New Jersey, His Grace Bishop Irinej of Eastern America, served Matins with the Annunciation Akathistos Hymn of St. Romanos the Melodist to the Most Holy Theotokos.

Bishop Irinej was joined by clergy of the Boston Deanery of the Eastern American Diocese: Protopresbyters-Stavrophores Aleksandar Vlajkovic, Episcopal Dean, Djokan Majstorovic, Zoran Radovic, parish priest, and Deacon Darko Tripkovic, Diocesan Financial Secretary. 

With the blessing of Bishop Irinej, Protopresbyter-Stavrophor Djokan Majstorovic addressed the gathered with a sermon in which he explained the importance of repentance and humility using as examples, respectively, St. Mary of Egypt, and the Most Holy Theotokos.

Following the sermon, the clergy and the faithful gathered around their hierarch and together shared a Lenten dinner.
