CIRCLE OF SERBIAN SISTERS OF LORAIN CELEBRATES PATRONAL FEAST DAY

The Circle of Serbian Sisters of Lorain, Ohio celebrated Saint Paraskeva – Sveta Petka, their Patronal Feast – Slava, on Sunday, October 30th. The beautiful fall morning began with Divine Liturgy. The sisters then joined together as Father Nektarije blessed the Feast Bread - Kolach, in honor of the saint who blesses us with many years to come, and the Wheat – Koljivo in memory of our ancestors. Kelli D’Agnese was honored as Kuma - Host of the celebration with her daughter Haili. Eva Zunich accepted one-fourth of the kolach as next year’s Kuma. The sisters prepared a luncheon following the services. Parishioners shared their favorite side dishes and desserts along with the main course. The Circle of Sisters at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church have been an active organization since 1927. Thank you to all who were with us and shared with us today. Holy Mother Paraskeva, pray to God for us!
