Week three started on Sunday, July 24^th, 2022, with children in attendance from Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio and elsewhere. As campers started moving in and counselors were meeting their campers, we found out that ¾ of the campers were first-time attendees! These campers were not only young, but we had a wide range of ages. While anticipation was high for campers, there was excitement with so many new faces, which yields many new friendships.

During the week, our campers completed many classes: kolo, music, religion, arts and crafts, and kolach making. The kids were even given a special opportunity to enjoy a religion class with His Grace Bishop Irinej! We would like to thank Father Christopher Rocknage and Father Srebrenko Vidakovic, as well as camp co-directors Father Bojan Banovic and Father Vedran Grabic for joining us throughout the week.

We are also grateful for the hard work of Teta Millie, Teta DeeDee, Teta Marija, and head counselor Stana Topich for their unwavering dedication and passion for this camp. Our volunteer kitchen babas for week three, worked endlessly and always with a smile on their face, and we could not be more appreciative of their time.

In preparation for Week Four, we would like to thank all of the hard-working people who have dedicated time to Shadeland this season. A special thanks to head counselors Stana Topich and Natalie Dean for leading counselors: Mia Cirkic, Nina Topich, Mariana Bajich, Olivia McAfee, Ruby Attar, Sophia Mummert, Anastsija Gligorovic, Dara Barach, Keira Baskot, Anastasija Kosic, Jelena Winowich, Boba Vlajkovic, Maja Jelich, Michael Topich, Dusi Karas, Sava Topich, and Milutin Dobrijevic. Thank you to Co-Directors Father Bojan Banovic and Father Vedran Grabic for your guidance and leadership of the priests, including: Fr. Rodney Torbic, Fr. Dragan Vukovic, Fr. Stefan Djoric, Fr. Sasha Nedic, Fr. Milan Pajic, Fr. Dragoslav Kosic, Fr. Christopher Rocknage, Fr. Srebrenko Vidakovic, Fr. Branislav Golic, and Deacon Jovan Anicic. Thank you to our volunteer nurses for taking care of our children every week: Miranda Lazich, Julie Winovich, Kim Speck, Dani Marshall, and Sladjana Gligorovic. Thank you to our amazing lifeguards for keeping a watchful and blessed eye over the children during free time: Miko Novakovic and Katyusha Peregencov. The following head cooks have kept us well fed each week: Alexis Janiga, Julie Djurich, Maca Topich, and Janice Dean. And going into Fourth Week, we would like to give a special shoutout to our instructors for kolo and tambura, Mia Cirkic, Dusi Karas, Boba Vlajkovic, and Stana Topich.

Join us for our Annual Shadeland Slava, beginning with Divine Liturgy at 10:00 AM and End of the Camp Season Picnic with plenty of BBQ meats and home-cooked meals, on Saturday, August 6^th, where a performance by the Fourth Week campers will follow, as well as dancing to live music. All roads lead to Shadeland this coming Saturday!!!
