BISHOP IRINEJ VISITS HOLY TRINITY PARISH IN YOUNGSTOWN

On Pentecost Sunday - Duhovi, June 12, 2022, the Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church in Youngstown, Ohio celebrated its Feast Day - Slava.  His Grace Bishop Irinej of Eastern America celebrated the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy and was joined in concelebration by the Very Reverend Bosko Stojanovic, parish priest, Reverend Bojan Banovic of  Holy Trinity Church in Austintown, Ohio, and Deacon Dan August of St. Elijah Church in Aliquippa.  Reverend Vedran Grabic of St. George Church in Hermitage, PA joined the procession around the church and the cutting of the Festal Bread -Slavski Kolac.  Honored Hosts - Kumovi were Drs. Fred Wondisford and Sally Radovick, who because of their immense love and generosity to the church, have recently made major contributions towards the restoration of the church dome, classrooms, hall kitchen, sidewalks and parking lot.  May God bless them for many years! Ziveli, Na Mnogaja Ljeta!

His Grace delivered a very inspiring sermon and spoke of the life given to the church by the Holy Spirit.  He also reminded us all that the church is one of the few remaining Serbian Orthodox churches consecrated by Saint Mardarije of Libertyville, which makes it a very special and holy place of worship.  Following church services, a festive banquet took place in the church hall.  Parishioners from Holy Trinity Church in Austintown, Akron, Cleveland, and Columbus were in attendance and welcomed.  During the banquet, graduates were honored for their achievements.  May the blessings of the Holy Spirit be upon us all, always!
