У недељу 6. по Васкрсу, Недељу слепога, 13. маја 2018. године, Његово Преосвештенство Епископ источноамерички г. Иринеј служио је свету архијерејску Литургију у манастиру Св. Архангела Гаврила у Земуну, и том приликом рукоположио у чин ђакона ипођакона Драгана Вуковића, дипломираног теолога Богословског факултета Св. Василије Острошки у Фочи.

Његовом Преосвештенству салуживали су протојереј-ставрофор Драган Предић, из Покровске црве у Београду, архимандрит Нектарије (Самарџић), јереј Панајотис Каратасијос настојатељ, архангелског манастира и духовник београдске грчке зајединце, протођакон Зоран Николић из Богородичне цркве у Земуну и ђакон др Здравко Јовановић са Богословског факултета у Београду.

Владика се после прочитаног Јеванђеља обратио дивном беседом и подсетио присутне на свету тајну свештенства и њеној важности. Скоро сви присутни приступили су  Светом Причешћу. После Литургије за зве служашче и госте у парохијском дому је приређен ручак. 

Нека ђакону Драгану буде са срећом рукоположење и да на новој дужности сачува свој углед и углед Српске Православне Цркве.

On the Sixth Sundayof Pascha, the Sunday of the Blind Man, May 13, 2018, His Grace Bishop Irinej of Eastern America celebrated the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy in the Monastery of the Holy Archangel Gabriel in Zemun, and on that occasion ordained to the rank of a Deacon, Sub-Deacon Dragan Vukovic, a graduate theologian of the St. Basil of Ostrog Theological Faculty in Focha.

Concelebrating with His Grace were protopresbyter-stavorphor Dragan Predic of the Church of the Protection of the Theotokos in Belgrade, Archimandrite Nektarije (Samardzic), Presbyter Panagiotis Karatasios, Spiritual Father of the Monastery and the Greek Community of Belgrade, Protodeacon Zoran Nikolic of the Church of the Theotokos in Zemun and Deacon Zdravko Jovanovic of the Theological Faculty in Belgrade.

Following the reading of the Holy Gospel, the Bishop delivered an inspiring homily and reminded those present of the importance of the Holy Mystery of the Priesthood. Almost the entire assembly of faithful received Holy Communion. After the conclusion of the Liturgy, all of the celebrants and faithful attended a festal luncheon in the monastery refectory.  

May the ordination of Deacon Dragan be unto his salvation, so that he may maintain his dignity and the dignity of the Serbian Orthodox Church in his new ministry.
