St George Clearwater celebrates their Krsna Slava

Clearwater, FL - Sunday May 8, 2016 St. George church in Clearwater celebrated their Krsna Slava (patron Saint day) St. George. The church was filled to capacity with parishioners near and far. The procession around the church was beautiful with the choirs singing. The choir was made up of our own St. George choir along with the members from our sister parish St. Sava in St. Petersburg. The combination choir was like angels singing it was so beautiful to hear all the voices. The Holy liturgy was served by Fr. Dragan Zaric, Fr. Jovan Todorovich, Fr. Miloje Raicevic, Fr. Milan Stojanovic, and Fr. Peter Tutko. Kumovi for the Slava was Jovan Zaric Fr. Dragan’s eldest son along with the entire Zaric Family. Accepting for next year’s Kumovi of Slava was Luka Mutlak along with his entire family. It was so endearing to see Jovan Zaric giving the Kolac to Luka Mutlak for next year. It is really nice to see our youth embracing their culture and to see that our future is in good hands. The culture program was prepared by Protonica Teofana Zaric along with the school teachers. A delicious luncheon was prepared by Sladjana and Sinisa Veselinovic,Slavica Vidacak and Dobrinka Milic. Kolaci were prepared by our KSS. The day was a beautiful sunny day and everyone enjoyed time with family, friends, neighbors and Kumovi. Hope to see everyone next year.
