OPENING DAY OF SHADELAND CAMP

Today, St. Sava Camp in Shadeland opens its camping season on the joyous Feast of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul.

In his inspiring sermon to the camp staff, Fr. Rodney Torbic reminded everyone of the importance of beginning every endeavor with God:

"The Divine Liturgy is celebrated throughout the world today. The Divine Liturgy is the best way to begin any undertaking."

He then reflected on the words of our Lord Jesus Christ:

"Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 19:14) Jesus’ call to children is alive at St. Sava Camp.

The staff at Shadeland is anxiously awaiting all to arrive. May this camp season be a blessing to us all.
