On January 4th, on the Feast of Fathers, we gathered together in joy and prayer to celebrate this holy day with the Divine Liturgy. We were reminded that this feast is a deep call to love, gratitude, and respect for our fathers—the pillars of the family—who, like quiet and devoted priests in their homes, carry the cross of responsibility, sacrifice, and care for their loved ones.

We then brought in the Badnjak, the sacred symbol of the Life-Giving Cross, a sign of Christ’s victory, the Light that illuminates the world, dispels darkness, and gives life. That Light warms us, unites us, and reminds us to hold firmly to the eternal values of faith, love, peace, and community.

Afterwards, following a festive lunch lovingly prepared by our dedicated sisters, together with our children we prepared the česnica, placing a golden coin inside. Just as Bethlehem—the “House of Bread”—humbly concealed the greatest and priceless Treasure, Christ Himself, so the golden coin hidden within the česnica becomes a sign of blessing, joy, and hope!

With joyful hearts, open and filled with love, we now move toward the Nativity of Christ, ready to welcome the Newborn Savior. In Him, may we embrace everyone—without divisions or distinctions—so that His peace may unite us, His love strengthen us, and His blessing illuminate our lives, our families, and our entire community!

Дана 04. јануара, на празник Оци, заједно смо, у радости и молитви, прославили овај свети дан Светом Литургијом. Подсетили смо се да је овај празник дубоки позив на љубав, захвалност и поштовање према очевима – стубовима породице, који као тихи и посвећени свештеници у својим домовима носе крст одговорности, жртве и бриге за своје најмилије.

Унели смо и Бадњак – свети знак Животворног Крста – симбол Христове победе, Светлости која обасјава свет, разгони таму и дарује живот. Та Светлост нас окупља, греје и подсећа да чувамо вечне вредности вере, љубави, мира и заједништва.

Након тога, после свечаног ручка који су са много љубави припремиле наше вредне сестре, заједно са децом направили смо чесницу и у њу сакрили златни новчић. Као што је Витлејем – Дом хлеба – у своју скромност сакрио највеће и непроцењиво благо, Самог Христа, тако је и у чесници скривен златник као знак благослова, радости и наде.

Са радошћу срца, спремни, отворени и испуњени љубављу, идемо у сусрет Спасу Богомладенцу. Да у Њему загрлимо све – без разлика и подела – да нас Његов мир уједини, Његова љубав охрабри, а Његов благослов озари нашим животима, породицама и целој нашој заједници!
