The Eastern American Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church Embraces Digital Giving: New Tithe.ly Platform to Enhance Donor Experience

Our Diocese is excited to announce a significant upgrade to its online giving experience by switching to Tithe.ly as our new, all-in-one digital donation platform. This transition marks a commitment to modernizing our administrative processes and, most importantly, providing our faithful with a more convenient and transparent way to support our Diocesan Stewardship, Shadeland St. Sava Camp, and New Marcha Monastery, as well as Paschal, Christmas and Giving Tuesday Appeals.

The move to Tithe.ly brings several key benefits to our donors, streamlining the process of giving and record-keeping:

• Instant Tax Receipts: With Tithe.ly, you will now receive an immediate tax receipt emailed to you with every single donation thank-you confirmation. This eliminates the need to wait for a separate document, giving you instant proof of your charitable gift.
• Year-to-Date Giving Visibility: Donors will gain a new level of transparency and control. Through your personal Tithe.ly account, you can easily view your year-to-date giving history at any time. This powerful feature allows you to manage your contributions, track your generosity, and simplify your preparation for tax season.
• A Simpler, More Secure Experience: Tithe.ly is designed to make giving fast, secure, and intuitive, whether you're donating from your computer or a mobile device. The platform's user-friendly design ensures your giving process is seamless and protected by industry-leading security.
• Better Fee Structure and Donor Fee-Cover Option: Tithe.ly offers a more favorable fee structure than our previous PayPal platform. Crucially, it provides the option for donors to easily cover the processing fees at the time of their donation, ensuring that 100% of their intended gift goes directly to the Diocese.

This new platform will not only enhance the donor experience but also create administrative efficiencies across the Diocese, allowing us to focus more time and resources on our core mission. We believe this is an important step forward in leveraging technology to support the vital work of our Diocese.
