North Canton, OH - On Saturday, August 29th, the St George Serbian Orthodox community hosted their first-ever Serbian Festival. Starting with offering fresh ‘krofne’ and ‘palacinke’ at 10am, the doors remained open until 9:30pm.

St Petersburg, FL - The St Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in St Petersburg, FL held summer camp, beginning on June 23, and it was held every Tuesday and Thursday through August 13. That is 16 days! This approach seemed too ambitious to some, but it turned out to be just right.

New York, NY - Archimandrite Vasileios (Gondikakis) gave a lecture at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Manhattan on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, the feast day of St. Sava the first Archbishop of Serbia. His Grace Bishop Maxim of Western America offered a Serbian translation to Fr. Vasileios' talk.

Washington, DC - This year’s Annual March for Life took place in Washington D.C. on Thursday, January 22, 2015. Thousands of people of all ages gathered with the common purpose of affirming the preservation of the lives of the unborn. 

Fairmont, WV - Parishioners and friends of Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Mission in Fairmont, West Virginia gathered at the nearby Monongahela River for the annual blessing during the time of Theophany. This year the river blessing took place on the Saturday after Theophany, January 24 following the Divine Liturgy.

Steelton, PA - On Sunday, January 18th, 2015 the faithful of St. Nicholas welcomed His Grace, Bishop Mitrophan. The day began with a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy with His Grace presiding.

Youngwood, PA - On 7 December 2014 His Grace Bishop Dr. Mitrophan celebrated the Holy Liturgy at Holy Ascension Serbian Orthodox Youngwood, PA for the slava celebration of the Kolo of Serbian Sisters.  The sister’s slava is the feast of the Entrance of the Mother of God into the Temple – Vavedenje.

Carmichaels, PA - The Annual blessing of the Monongahela River near St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Carmichaels, Pennsylvania in connection with the Feast of Theophany began in 1999 and has continued to the present. Parishioners come to the riverside and the St. George Choir sings responses. An ice cross prepared by Sonia Janson is placed in the river at the conclusion of the service.

Greensboro, NC - Parishioners of St. Basil of Ostrog Church in Greensboro, NC had an opportunity to welcome brothers and sisters from St. Petersburg Deanery for our annual winter camp. Adults and children from Parishes from Atlanta, Charlotte, Clearwater, Jacksonville, Orlando, St. Petersburg as well as our own from Greensboro, took part in this years’ camp. We were happy to have 112 kids and over 60 adults participating. The main theme of the camp was “Stewardship.”
